Telangana Community in Tanzania has celebrated 1st formation day of Telangana with cultural events to bring people together in many ways which expressed the ideas, traditions and values of Telangana.
Telangana Cultural Association – Tanzania is organized many cultural stage events like dances, songs and music, in an authentic and professional way which showed an effort to keep up and continue Telangana tradition and culture here in Tanzania.
Telangana committee encouraged all the talented participants for this cultural program on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day Celebration on June 6th 2015 in Dar es salaam.
It was great celebration which reflected Telangana traditions and culture. It was a successful gathering and with a good turnout of members of our association.
TCA-TZ remembered heroes of Telangana who struggled for Telangana.
His Excellency the High Commission er of India to Tanzania Shri Debnath Shaw was the chief guest in the celebrations of 1st formation day of Telangana State
A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the martyrs of Telangana
Smt. Dahlia Shaw, w/o His Excellency High Commissioner lighted the lamp to start the program.
Event started a welcome song and welcome dance.
Honourable chairman of Telangana Cultural Association-Tanzania addressed the audience. Nanda kishore chairman, co-founder, and an advisory committee member of Telangana Cultural Association in Tanzania. He has a close relationship with Telangana Cultural Association in Tanzania. He is associated with Telangana Cultural Association since its inception and a regular and active participant in all the events of the Association.
On a very special occasion the 1st Telangana Formation Day Celebrations, His Excellency Sri Debnath Shaw addressed the audience. A memento was presented to His Excellency Sri Debnath Shaw on this occasion.
A Documentary film about Telangana was shown on this occasion to reveal its beauty and power in all its glory.
Cultural Programs held were as follows:

4. Kuchipudi dance
5. Dance by children on the song- Jaya Jayahe Telangana was superb.
6. Folk Dance by children
7. Singing: Telangana singers in Tanzania rocked the stage with their fantastic voice and presented Telugu and Hindi songs.
8. Dance by Telangana Ladies on the song Nalla Cheera was a limelight.
9. A powerful dynamic dance performed by youth of Telangana on the songs of Podusthunna Poddu meeda and aarraarru gurralu. Mr. Seshu Rao acted like our famous singer Gaddar and was a highlight of the program.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions held on the occasion of the first anniversary formation of Telangana State by advisory committe members Mr. VN Reddy and Santhosh Reddy Patlolla and also by Mr. Sridhar Aligeti who is the chairman for 2015-2016. There was enthusiastic participation by women, children and men. Competitions were held in Chess, Carroms and Cricket.
